Dear Bri

Dear Bri,
How are you?! I saw your photos on Facebook and want to say congratulations! I bet you guys are thrilled to have another addition to your family! I'm sure Addie will love having a younger sibling and I bet she's excited for the day to come.
How have things been? Have you been taking time off and spending it with Addie? I hope so! I'm sure you two have a lot of fun and taking time off with her is definitely worth it. Hopefully you've been able to get rest too, bet it's difficult to have the energy for two.
How are all the animals? Is Sam still crazy cuddly and Brook trying to eat the cats? I'm house sitting right now and watching over their dog, she's an English setter. It's nice to have a pet again, takes some of the stress off my shoulders, but then some days it's just as stressful if not more. They can be a real blessing though. Does Addie love animals as much as you do?
I can't say thank you enough for helping me out in Saskatchewan. I'm really grateful for it and so glad that I got the time to spend with you and Brian. I hope all is going well for you and your family and will continue to go well. You'll be in my prayers!
Take care.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Morgen

Dear Morgen,
How's it going? I saw your birthday is coming up and realized I haven't written to you! I thought might as well write it now rather than wait till your birthday, because we all know something will probably come up if I plan that and I won't have time to write on that day. So here you are, an early happy birthday letter!
How is life? Are you all finished your degree? I feel like you were graduating the same time as me...which means you are done! Congratulations! Isn't it so exciting? What are your plans now? More school? Go out and work somewhere's? Hopefully something will come along quickly for you if you're looking at work. I know it must seem intimidating, I can't even imagine coming out of my degree and going right into the work force. Thank goodness for further education haha.
I hope this last semester went well for you. I wish we had more time to hang out in the fall semester, but it was fun while it lasted! Do you miss anything about NL? I can't wait to get off of this island and to a bigger city, but I'm also going to miss the people and the beauty of this place. There's something about it eh?
Do you have plans for your birthday? I'm finally getting a birthday where I'm with friends! I can't wait :) I hope your friends are taking you out. Bah! My computer is about to die! I hope you have a fantastic day when it comes!!!
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Josh

Dear Josh,
How are you? How's Cambodia treating you? (I think you're still there, yes?) Sorry I'm so horrible at keeping in contact...life gets busy and it's the lamest excuse but it's true. I have trouble finding time to even write a letter every day which isn't even that much...but somehow I miss it sometimes.
What are you up to now? I saw on facebook you're delving into the music scene there? That's really neat. I'm glad you've found somewhere that you seem to enjoy and I can't even imagine how it must feel to just go off to another country and set up camp there. So cool. So jealous haha. Do you think you'll come back to Canada for a visit at least? I can't believe how long it's been since you've been here. I can't imagine doing that...I have a hard enough time living in NL and that's still in Canada.
Has any of your family come to visit? That'd be fun! Have you learned the language? I'm sure you've at least caught onto phrases and such. You have such a great opportunity to learn another language being submersed in it! Jealous again haha.
Well I hope all is going well for you. I'm sorry this is so short, I'm exhausted from being out late last night. Take care!
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear David Attenborough

Dear David Attenborough,
Why do you have the best voice for documentaries? And why is it that now I've watched so many of your documentaries that I'm not happy with any other ones? It's kind of screwed everything up, especially my love for documentaries, because now I'm just bored with anything you haven't done and I've seen most of the documentaries you've narrated...or at least the ones I can get my hands on.
I really think you have an amazing job. It'd be so neat to go and see all these animals and places and discover them. I love watching documentaries because I can learn so much from them and it's just simple knowledge. It keeps my brain active and I find out how fascinating our world is more and more. So thank you!
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Laura

Dear Laura,
How are you? I know it's kind of odd to get this notification probably, but I'm doing a project throughout this year where I write a letter to a person each day. Today's your lucky day! We're obviously not close and we haven't spent much time together, but that weekend in Gander was a lot of fun and I enjoyed hanging with your team.
How did your semester end off? Are you finished your degree this year? If so, congratulations. If not...don't worry it'll come soon! I can't believe I'm finished this year, and it's sad to say, but I am happy that I'll be going back to school in the fall. I feel too young to not be in school. What do you plan on doing after school? (I hate that question...sorry, had to ask it though)
I'm glad we all got to hang out during the volleyball tournament, and though it was a rough weekend for a lot of you, I think it was a lot of fun as well. I hope your ankle is doing better now, I haven't seen you hobbling along on your crutches around campus, but then again school is done so I don't know why you would be there. What are your plans for the summer? Going home? Sticking around? If you're in St. John's we should all go out sometime.
Take care!
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Amanda

Dear Amanda,
How's it going now that classes are all finished? We officially have degrees! Isn't that exciting?! I'm glad to be done my undergrad and moving onto something new. I know you've still got a few years in your other program, but it must feel good to have a degree under your belt eh? I hope this semester turned out well for you.
What are your plans for the summer? Will you go home or stay in town? Tobi mentioned something about going out to Branch this summer...so maybe we'll take a tour around your town haha. I hear it's quite small, but that's okay! Outports are awesome and I enjoy going to them because they're all different. It's funny how we all seem to think our hometown isn't that exciting, but to other people it might be. My hometown is horrible...and I don't think anyone would be excited to go there.
So I guess I'm leaving in the fall, which is kind of crazy. I'll be passing Tobi onto you and a few others haha. You'll have all the time in the world to hang out with her when I'm gone! I know it's not that exciting, but try and enjoy some of it ;) I hope we get to hang out a little bit more before I head to Toronto. I enjoy your company and humor.
Take care.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Uncle Brian

Dear Uncle Brian,
How's the farm holding up? It has to be one of the biggest things I miss the most. I feel like I grew up there. I hope all the cows are healthy and have had all their babies. I heard it was quite a Cold spring for you guys and still is quite cold. Too bad we don't live somewhere tropical eh? It's been freezing here too. However, I got back from Toronto and there was no snow here! We actually have a really big yard! I'm housesitting you see, and I haven't seen the front yard in a really long time. Flowers are popping up around here and hopefully we won't have any more snow.
Will you start getting the crops ready soon? I can't say that was my favorite time of the year, I prefer harvest of all. The beginning of spring and summer is so dirty and ugly. Though Alberta is quite beautiful when the crops are in bloom and growing. Here is just rock there are no crops at all. It's beautiful in its own way. Luckily I will get to see it for the first time in the summer. I wish I could come back to Alberta for a trip. I really do miss it and family.
Oh well what can you do? I hope all is well and continues to go well. I hope the weather works well for you and that you can get everything done on time. We all know that probably won't happen, but we can hope right? Anyway, take care!
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Uncle Nevin

Dear Uncle Nevin,
How are you? I just recently returned from my trip to Toronto, and I had such a great time. The weather wasn't the best, but I got to see some of my family and that was worth it. Too bad I won't be coming home to Alberta in the summer at all I would like to see more family. I guess that's what you get for moving away right?
I just finished my undergrad here in Newfoundland, I will be moving to Toronto in the fall to complete my Master's at York University. I can't believe that I've already completed four years of education and want to do more. People probably think I'm crazy… but I enjoy it and I plan on teaching so I guess maybe I should enjoy it. It would really suck if I hated it. Can you believe Hannah is graduating and going to college next year...I can't. Where does time go?
Do you have any summer trips planned? It would be nice to get away for a bit eh? Maybe do some camping? I'm hoping to do some camping here in NL, I hear there's some really beautiful places. I'll have to check them out.
Anyway! I should be off to bed so I can get up for work. Take care.
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Pearson International Airport

Dear Pearson airport,
I'm not sure if you've heard of something called air conditioning, but you should really work on it. Also...your selection of stores is so limited and boring, as well as the food selection. This third terminal sucks. All of your terminals should be equal...this one definitely is not.
That is all.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Cast of Parade

Dear Cast of Parade,
What a fantastic group! What powerful and beautiful voices! You guys were just marvelous. I could continue on with compliments, but then you might think I'm being phony...and I'm not! I always forget how much I enjoy theater until I come to a show. Yet again I have been reminded.
You all amaze me in how much one can remember and do at the same time.
I think it must be a lot of fun getting Into your character and being someone else. It's so wonderful to be able to do something you're so passionate about. I've really found that out this year and found out how much it's made a difference in my studies. You guys are passionate about what you do and it shows in your performance, so keep it up.
I'm glad I got to meet many of you and mingle at the party last night. I hope all the best for you and that your relationships with each other will stay strong and grow further. Good luck with your future studies and have a blast with your other shows. I shall do my best to be there to see them!
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Cast of A Doll's House

Dear Cast of A Doll's House,
What a wonderful show you put on yesterday! I apologize I did not write yesterday after I saw it, but I've been busy spending time with family and going to all the events at and around your college this weekend. The show was fantastic and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Going in I didn't know what to expect. I'd never read or heard of the play and am glad that I ended up coming to see it. It captured my interest, something not easily done when you need my attention for three hours. You reminded me how much I enjoy theater, so thank you. I hope you all had fun working on it and presenting it! You should be happy for all the work you did paid off, or at least I think.
So thank you for making my trip even more special.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Indecisiveness

Dear Indecisiveness,
Can you please go away? You're kind of stressing me out. When I'm supposed to be writing to actual people I'm writing to something ridiculous. I know though if I write about it, it'll help me deal with you better. I feel like I'll be less stressed, but I really wish I didn't have to be writing to you.
So I just want to ink what I should do tomorrow and the fact that I don't really care what I do does not help me decide at all. So thanks.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Server

Dear server,
We had an amazing time today at Bannock and that was because of you. You gave us a great description of the dishes the restaurant sells. You did a fantastic job of taking care of us and providing such great service. Because of this I'm sure I'll be back!
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Jon

Dear Jon,
I feel like I'm writing a letter to a soldier far away or something haha. Isn't that what they always start out with? Kinda odd. Maybe I should call you something else and this would be less awkward. Now I'm just rambling. How's it going? Done exams?
Are you taking a Russian degree at MUN or doing something else? I feel like I should know this. Sorry. What do you plan on doing after school? I could see you in public or international relations, you're good at talking with people and negotiating it seems. Maybe you can take over Durrant's position when he retires. Who knows if that'll happen though, the man seems immortal.
Might seem odd that I'm writing a letter to you, but basically I'm writing one letter a day to people I know, don't know, may be dead, or fictional characters. It's just a way for me to send a little something back to all the people I know and to take a moment out of my day to focus on something else.
I hope your exams went well. I'm sure you and the boys will be celebrating soon if you haven't already. Are you sticking around this summer? If so we'll hang out I'm sure.
Take care.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Aslaug

Dear Aslaug,
How are you? I hope things are going well for you! I'm sure you're really busy planning out your wedding and dealing with your job and the rest of your life. I bet things seem really hectic at times, but it'll all work out in the end. You must be getting excited!
I'm glad we got to see you this past summer and I hope all the best for you in your coming future. Your fiancé seems like a pretty awesome guy and I'm sure you'll have many happy years ahead of you. Will you guys be living in Norway or Germany once you're married? Can you speak any German?? If not don't worry, it's not that difficult to pick up. I'm sure Norwegian is more difficult.
Do you think you'll be back to Canada any time soon? I imagine not for a few years with everything happening eh? Maybe I'll finally be able to head over there and visit before you make it back here. I'd love to come see what Norway is all about and meet the rest of the family. I've heard Norway is similar to Newfoundland. If it is, I think I'll enjoy it. Probably more because it's not an island.
Anyway! I do hope all works out well for you and that you have a wonderful wedding and have a lot of fun. Wish you all the best.
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Magnus

Dear Magnus,
How are you? I feel like half the time I've written a letter to people already when I actually haven't. Unfortunately I can't look up whether I've written one to you already or not, so here you are! Maybe your first, maybe your second letter.
How's the north treating you? Has spring arrived there yet? It definitely hasn't here, though I'm currently sitting in Halifax airport and it's super humid and feels warm. I think it's supposed to snow tomorrow in Toronto though :( hopefully the rest of the week will be okay.
Are you into your Master's program yet? I'm starting mine in the fall and am super excited. I'm so glad to have one degree under my belt. Onto the next two! Then freedom....hopefully. What are you doing your Master's in again? Forgetful me. I'm pretty sure we discussed it thoroughly this past summer. What can ya do though?
Are you excited for your sister's wedding? I looovvveee weddings! They're so much fun. Gets all the family together for a good time. Can't wait for the next Anderson to get married, though I'm unsure as to who that might be. Guess I'll just have to wait.
Anyway I should be off. Don't want to kill off my battery so I can still get in contact with my ride at the airport. Take care!
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Amy

Dear Amy,
I can't believe I haven't wrote to you yet! I'm kicking myself. You're like a sister to me and here I am writing to people I've never met or who don't actually exist. I apologize. I'm sure you're busy with school and such right now with the end of the term coming. I know all my friends are and I sure was last week (luckily I finished Wednesday so I'm free now, but I won't rub it in your face).
How has your year been?! Did you enjoy it as much as you thought you would? How's your program? I hope you really like it. It helps so much when you're passionate about what you're doing. From the things you've posted on Facebook it looks like you've had a fantastic year. How did basketball end up? I'm sure you did great! You always have and I'm sure you always will. I'm sure you made plenty of good friends as well, you're such a lovely young woman.
I bet you miss home too though. I know I do. I can't wait to see my family in May and can't wait to come home at Christmas (yes I know it's far, but I'm still super excited). I just realized my flight will be shorter at Christmas than from here! Yay! That's so exciting haha.
Anyway! I know you'll do well finishing up this year. Mom sent me an email a few days ago saying "Finish well" and it's really good advice. You may feel burnt out (I sure did), but if you finish well it's so worth it. Just that final push and then you can relax all summer! Miss you a ton.
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Andrew

Dear Andrew,
How are you? I know we haven't talked in ages, and you're probably surprised that I'm writing a letter to you, but I couldn't help but not! I saw a photo of you on my newsfeed and thought, hey I wonder what Andrew is up to these days. I've kept you on facebook due to the exciting life you seem to lead and all the things you post. It's not often I keep those on facebook that I don't keep in touch with, but I like to hear the news going on in your life.
Unfortunately I never got to watch any of the films you've been in or helped out with. One of these days I will though! I'm sure one day you'll be famous and it'll be a lot easier for me to see those movies. I don't currently have cable or tv so I don't get anything to watch really except whatever is online. Maybe one of your shows is online somewhere? You should send me the link if it is! I'd definitely be interested in watching.
Another reason I've thought of you is because every time I see you post something about your acting and how much you love it, it makes me realize how important it is that we love what we're doing. I feel like this life is too short to dread going to work everyday. Of course we have to do some things we hate, but why do it for your entire life? That's just sad.
So keep it up! You'll get far.
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Uncle Paul

Dear Uncle Paul,
How suitable is it that I write to you on the same day I wrote to your wife?  I guess I should feel a little lazy or bad for missing yesterdays letter, but I was tied up with other things. Enjoying the final freedom I've worked for for three years! Finally :) How are you?
Have you been out fishing a lot this winter? Dad hasn't mentioned going out with you...though I don't think he's much into the ice fishing anymore. You should maybe try fly fishing and maybe you'll see him more when it comes to fishing. Seems like he's become absorbed in that world. It's kind of neat, but I don't like learning about all the bugs and stuff. That's just not something I'm really interested in. But maybe it's your cup of tea.
Have you taken the kids out to see the calf's this spring? I saw some pictures and really miss the farm and seeing all the young cows frolicking about in the pasture. Haha I'm sure it's not as nice as I paint it out to be, but I do miss the farm. Do you ever miss it? Or are you glad to be working in the city and away from all that? I bet deep down you miss it a bit.
I hope work is going well for you as well. Hopefully you get some summer vacation time to head off camping somewhere with the family. Did you get a holiday this winter? Seems like all the relatives head off to somewhere warm over the holidays nowadays. Can't wait for our turn haha. Well take care!
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Aunty Tammy

Dear Aunty Tammy,
How are you? Unfortunately I have to write this letter using my phone because my computer has decided to install an update that's taking forever. I don't understand why computers always have some kind of update as well as phones. Have you ever noticed how many apps are updating all the time? It's half of the reason I don't have apps on my phone. It's so annoying to try and keep up with everything.
On another note, how's life? Will you get summer off with the kids? I hope you guys have an awesome camping trip planned out, which I'm sure you do, you guys always seem to be camping somewhere in the summer. I really hope to get out camping in the summer here in Newfoundland but we'll see what the weather brings. I guess I have to find some camping gear too. My friend and I have a bucket list to complete before I leave for Toronto in the fall. I'm really excited yet nervous. It's going to be such big change.
Do you guys get away for the winter at all? I'm sure it's a busy time with the kids in school and such. Soon they'll be out though! I can't wait for summer weather. I just finished my exams this week and am completely free now for the summer. Minus work of course. Anyway should head to bed.
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Professors

Dear Professors,
First off I want to say thank you. Thank you for helping me have such a great experience in Newfoundland. You've helped me along my journey and helped me decide where I want to go next. You opens new doors for me and showed me new things that I can't imagine living without. The knowledge you have shared with me to be forever remembered.
Not only am I thankful for the knowledge you have provided, but also for the time you spent listening to me babble on confused about some concept or problem. I'm thankful for the time I was given from each of you to make sure I understood concepts and felt like I could come to you when I needed assistance. Another thing I am grateful for is the fact that you guys seem to care about your students. You take the time out of your day and busy schedules to help us when we need it. It makes a world of a difference in our stress levels. So thank you.
Thank you also for the advice and the recommendations you sent for my masters program. You have greatly help me in deciding where I should go with my future, which only made it more difficult for me to make a decision to move away from NL. I will miss all of you a lot, but know I will keep you informed on what I am researching and anything that may be of interest to you.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Anxiety

Dear Anxiety,
Who else could I write to when you're kicking around? I mean really...it'd just be rude. Then again you're around every time I try and think of who to write to and whether the people I have yet to write to that I know will be mad because I'm writing to inanimate things before them. I hope not. I hope they see that writing to these things helps me deal with you.
I'm really sick of you and wish you could've stayed out of my life for the most part. I mean a little visit once in a while is okay, but to have you as an acquaintance that literally won't get off my mind it's kind of annoying. I could really do without you for a week or two...maybe even a month. Is that so hard to ask?
You've been giving me the craziest headaches lately and I've been trying my best to focus on school work to try and be done for tomorrow. But alas I won't be done by tomorrow thanks to all the chaos and disorder in my life right now. Go figure that would be the topic of the essay I have yet to write.
You suck.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Mickhail Bulgakov

Dear Mikhail Bulgakov,
Why...oh why did you write such a long book? Sure 400 pages isn't actually that much...but right now it is. I know I know I should've had it done earlier, but I  just got caught up in living life and having fun my last semester. The last thing I wanted to do was read your crazy book. Perhaps your other works are wonderful. I wouldn't say The Master and Margarita is actually that horrible. I've enjoyed it thus far, but I'm really running out of time and just don't know if I can finish it in time, plus write an awesome essay on it.
Please just hit me with something awesome in the end. Something I can tie the theme of chaos and disorder all together in. I've got lots of comments to state about the two, but I don't have a reason as to why you're using it and what you're trying to prove. It'd be nice if you could reveal that in the last 100 pages please.
I guess I should stop writing to you though and get reading. Just a little stress note I guess.
Thanks.
Not.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Writers of Up

Dear Writers of Up,
Thank you for creating such a fun and creative movie. I don't think the people behind the scenes of movies get enough attention. You guys are really the whole reason there is a movie and no one seems to notice that. Why is it all the actors get the spotlight, but you hardly ever hear of the writers? I think that you guys should be highlighted just as much as the actors are if not more. The actors wouldn't even have a job without you guys.
Perhaps it's better when you write an animated film. That way no one really can watch the actors because it's all animated and doesn't usually represent the actors. That must be nice. Then people are focusing more on the story and the creativity. Well I think you guys did a fantastic job on the movie Up. I love the balloon idea. It's fabulous. And the dogs. It's so quirky and the one liners are great.
So thank you for making my night a bit more cheerful.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear David

Dear David,
How Ontario treating you? Hopefully the work project is going well and you guys have all settled into a nice routine of life. I hope the boys are doing well and Isaac is enjoying school there. I'm sure you're all excited to come back to NL though! I know how much it sucks to be away from your home province, and I can't imagine uprooting my whole family and moving off to Ontario. But God is good.
Congrats on pranking us on April fools. You got us. We weren't sure whether to believe it or not because Keegan had mentioned how much of a joker you are before. I didn't want to risk having Jason out in that storm though, it was absolutely brutal. Watch out though, we'll get you back somehow.
The house is great and everything is running smoothly. We're getting the oil changed on the car soon and it's been running well also. It's been such a blessing this semester to live in such a house with a vehicle. Sophie's done wonders for my stress levels too I'm pretty sure. It's always nice to have a loving friend like a dog. Tobi's ok to.
Anyway! Everything is great here and hope everything's well there.
Take care.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear graduating undergrad students!

Dear graduating undergrad students,
Here we are! We are finally at the end of our last semester. We are done classes, or close to it! If not, you're almost there. It'll all be over soon and we can just relax.
I hope you're all celebrating right now! You deserve celebration. We just came through at least 4 years of suffering through classes and tests and papers and all that stuff. Now it's over. At least for the summer if you're doing more schooling, but hey at least we'll have a paper stating our accomplishment! I'm excited to get that at least.
I won't keep you any longer though. I just wanted to congratulate you all!
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Tess

Dear Tess,
I know, I know. I'm doing another double letter. Another "take-two". But how could I not write you a letter on your very own birthday? You're practically my sister and I miss you so much, so I don't care about any unspoken rules I or anyone made up about this whole thing, because I'm writing you this letter and that's how it's going to be.
How was your day?! I didn't hear anything about it so I'm hoping you're busy off celebrating and not fretting over school or work. I do hope you got the day off of at least work. I know asking for a day off classes is a bit much, but maybe you got that too! If you'd had a birthday here on the 1 you would have had a snow day. Though...I'd prefer to take the classes over the snow at this point. Tobi and I were at a friend's place for supper and approaching their door I had to stop and take a picture of me beside a snowbank that had to be taller than Nathan. It was crazy. It feels like we're in the middle of winter, like January or something.
Anyway! Hopefully Swifter got you something lovely for your birthday! Did your parents get you something nice? I hope so. I would have sent something, but I'm terrified that nothing is actually getting off this stupid island because of the weather. We only get mail like once a week and I'm pretty sure it's because there's only a shipment once a week for anything. Lesson learned, don't move onto an island. It sucks.
I really hope we can see each other before Christmas this year. Maybe you can come out to Toronto in the fall if you don't make it to NL this summer. Ooooorrrr maybe someone will bring me home to AB in the fall for a visit. Unfortunately I won't be able to afford it, but maybe my parents will surprise us. We'll see. I miss you a ton and I really hope that we can get in contact soon. We should skype. :) I'd enjoy that.
I love you! Happy Birthday!
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Aunty Denise

Dear Aunty Denise,
I'm slowly making my way through the family! Now it's your turn :) In a way I'm glad I have such a large family, makes this a little easier, and I'm happy to write to my family rather than people I don't know. How are you? How's Alberta treating you? I see some of your posts and how much you've been loving the winter ;) Don't worry, you could have 2 feet of snow fall in 24 hours. That's what we had Tues-Wed and it was horrible. I've never seen it snow that much in such a short period of time. It just didn't stop falling.
Schools almost done! 2 days left and I'm free from my undergrad. Or at least classes. I'll be writing my first and last final next Wednesday and then I really am free. I'm moving to Toronto in the fall to do my Masters and am very excited...yet kind of terrified of how large the city is and how little people I know in it. I think I've got a roommate there so hopefully that all works out well.
I wish I could come back this summer for a visit and see everyone. I love our family reunions, but I guess they're probably hard to plan when everyone is everywhere. Have you guys gone on a trip lately? I bet you're all busy with work and the farm. Probably running the kids around too. Life does seem to get hectic at this time of the year. I can't wait for the summer when I can just sit and relax, maybe read a book. Do you guys have plans for the summer? Camping perhaps? That'd be nice. :)
Well I should get going on another paper. Miss you guys.
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette

Dear Uncle Jim (A.)

Dear Uncle Jim (A.),
How are you? I bet you're winding up for the semester. Bet you're excited. Do you get the summer off or do you keep teaching throughout the whole year? I imagine you're coming up to retirement soon though. Won't that be nice? Perhaps you've already retired and no ones told me.
I have to say you're one of the people I looked up to when it came to work and schooling. I always thought what you did was so neat as a kid and when we got to see the jets and planes with Danny and Kristen it really made my day. I still remember looking through them. It was the first time I'd been on a plane before actually. It was great, even if we didn't go flying or anything and it was just in the hanger. There's something about it that really made an impact. Then again I did want to be a pilot until I was 18. Then phonetics snatched me from that dream.
How's Calgary treating you? I hope it's warmer than here. We just got 2 feet of snow. Wish I could say April fools, but alas it's not a joke. Thankfully my friend and I are house sitting and our neighbour has a tractor so he plows us out for the most part. Good thing too or Tobi and I would have a ton of shoveling to do and I'm not so sure my body would handle that. Do you have plans for the summer (that is if it ever gets here)?
Well I must be off, but I thought I'd write to you today. Miss you guys.
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette
