Dear Aunty Susan,
Thanks for the reply on facebook. I thought I'd reply by writing a letter for you and answer your questions and more on here. How are you? How's your winter been? I hope it was good, I'm really missing Alberta and can't wait to see my parents in May. It'll be good to have a touch of home then, and in April when I visit Nevada in Toronto.
I've decided to attend York in the fall for my MA. I'll be focusing in sociolinguistics and cannot wait! I love it so much and have never been so interested in anything as much as I am with this. I know it's where I need to go right now and even though I'm terrified of moving to the giant city of Toronto. I don't know a ton of people there, Nevada's in Oakville and I have a friend in Toronto. Another is from Hamilton, but he'll be here in St. John's for most of the year so I won't be seeing him a lot. I'm excited though, it's going to be a fun adventure. I'll be a little bit closer to home and probably will be able to come home once or twice more in the year which would be nice.
Did you get away on a vacation at all this winter? Anything planned for the summer? I bet you guys will be off golfing somewhere wonderful I'm sure. I hope to get some camping in this summer if I'm able to. My friend and I are house sitting for a family from our church and they left us their car so that makes it a little easier to get around and do things. It's really been a blessing actually.
Anyway, that's all that's really been going on in my life. Just finishing up school and excited to be done my undergrad. Hope all is well back home.
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette
