Dear Aunty Donna

Dear Aunty Donna,
I don't know why I haven't written to you sooner. I should have had you on the top of my list haha. Though I guess it's not by who's the most important...it's more so the timing and what I'm thinking at the moment.
So I'm house sitting for this couple at our church with my best friend and we have to take care of their dog. She's such a softy, always wanting to be around you and touching you. She's kind of hilarious at times and really stupid at other times. But I'm really falling in love with her and am going to be sad the day we have to go back to our normal lives without her. She kind of reminds me of Ty. How's he holding up this New Year? Hopefully some of the snow has melted and its warmed up a little. All the snow has melted here pretty much. It went from over four feet to less than a foot within a week. It's supposed to snow this week though so we won't have green grass for that much longer. I can't get over that here, how the grass is green under the snow. I guess it just doesn't get cold enough here to kill it off like it does back home. I prefer missing the brown stage.
I want to thank you for all the things you've done in my life. You've been like a second mother to me and I tell everyone that. I always refer to the farm as my other home and tell people I pretty much grew up out there with you and Uncle Allen. One of the things I miss most is harvest time, mainly for your cooking...but also for the times we all spend out in the fields or slaving over the stoves. There's just something about it that I really love.
You've been such an inspiration to me and have gone through so much. You've got to be one of the strongest people I know and one of the best moms out there. You've raised an amazing family and I'm so glad that I got to be so close to all your children. I really wouldn't have it any other way.
I love you and miss you.
Sincerely,
Yvette
