Dear Jess,
I'm sure some people are questioning as to why I'm writing to them because I'm hardly acquainted with them. I feel as though you and I are past the acquaintance stage though and have a somewhat friendly relationship. That sounds weird. Sorry....
How's it going? I've heard you've been having quite the semester. Isn't that the truth for a few of us though? It seems like this year has been particularly crazy, but then again it has been for me due to numerous things...but I think it's also been crazy for a few select people. (That last sentence seems really ungrammatical to me and bothers me, but I don't want to fix it.) Anyway! The fact it hasn't been the greatest for some makes me kind of depressed. I hate when people have to go through trials and troubles, it's hard to watch...but I know we can all make it through no matter what life throws at us.
I'm so glad that Tobi has become such a great friend to you. She's honestly a wonderful person (as you already know) and I know that she encourages me a ton and makes my day a lot better. You can take her away from me whenever you need to! I really don't mind. In fact it's wonderful when you do. ;) Just kidding Tobi. I'm also glad that Tobi introduced us. I think we'd get along just fine if we had the time to hang out. Unfortunately this semester is absolutely insane. (Lamest excuse ever)
I do want you to know though that if you ever need someone to talk and your other resources are unavailable (or you just feel like talking to someone new), give me a holler. I know things can get really rough and difficult at times to sludge through. I also know how important it is that you have someone to just talk to even when you don't want to. In the darkest times you can feel so alone, but I promise you that your friends and family are there to hold you up when you can't hold yourself up. Lean on them and don't feel guilty for it. It's what they're there for. You are loved by many and I hope you know that.
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette
