Dear Jessica

Dear Jessica,
I don't know if you were expecting a letter, but here you are! I know we aren't super close, but that's not the point of these letters. Unfortunately I don't have 365 close friends, which might not be such a bad thing. However I do know quite a few people and I think that everyone is worth my time and deserves a letter whether I've met you once, twice, twenty times or never (though the latter may seem kind of creepy). It'll probably happen though.
How are your courses going this semester? Hopefully well! I love seeing your art every day on facebook and instagram. It makes me want to get back into my drawing and find that creative streak again. I think it's so important to keep those kinds of hobbies up and fresh because they're a gift from God really. Not everyone can draw and paint, so we might as well use what God's given us and show the world how amazing He is.
Hopefully everything else is working well for you too this semester. I know things have probably started out rough, but it'll all get better. As lame as the saying is, time does heal all wounds. I know it can hurt for a long time, but one day it'll all be clear and everything will seem to disappear and life moves on. It's hard to push past that, but I think we just need to remind ourselves each day to live in the present moment and forget all the things that are happening ahead and behind us. I know our past experiences make up who we are today, but we can allow certain things to influence us more. It just takes a lot of strength and courage. And worst of all will power. I find mine slacking off lately. Discipline is so difficult.
Anyway enough of the lecturing. I do hope all is well and that we'll get to hang out sometime this semester. I really enjoy hanging with you! We'll have to set up a girl's night or something!
Love you.
Sincerely,
Yvette
